Choosing a paint color is not as easy as one might think (just ask the Rolling Stones). There are color variations to consider, brightness of the room, furniture patterns, overall style, etcetera, etcetera. I came across the Living Livelier blog and thought I'd share their find, Favorite Paint Colors, where you can see actual photos of actual rooms with paint colors that are labeled for you to view and consider.
For those of us who are color blind (like me) or just need some assistance with imagining what White Dove (from Benjamin Moore) would look like on your cabinets, this is a great resource. Have you ever been in this situation?
Hmm, that's not what it looked like on the swatch.
Maybe it will look better if I paint the whole room.
I bet it will look different with a second coat.
Or when it dries.
Or if I change the window treatments.
You get my point. Then save yourself the time, money, effort and aggravation of going through the motions of painting your home the wrong color, and make the right color choice the first time.
