Arlington's Favorite Street

OK, so Arlington didn't make the Globe's top streets to live in and around Boston. That doesn't mean we can't pick our own favorite street or place to live in Arlington.

Some of the favorite streets in the article include such features as proximity to restaurants, a nature vibe, historic or New England-like attributes, pet-friendly, polished, picturesque, artsy, architecturally interesting, walkable, cultured, hip, easy commute, sense of community, good schools, town center, etc. etc.

Certainly, Arlington has all of this and more:

Proximity to restaurants: Tryst, Flora, Tango, Scutra, Jimmy's

Historic or New England-like attributes: Jason Russell House, Whittemore Robbins House, Arlington Historical Society

Cultured: Capitol Theater

Architecturally interesting: Old Schwamb Mill, Town Hall, Robbins Library

Of course these are just a few of the many features and resources that make Arlington a great place to live. But if you had to pick a favorite Arlington street to call home, which would it be?

·         Jason Street for its leafy canopy and historic Victorians?

·         Mass. Ave. for its hip vibe, restaurants and shops?

·         Lowell Street for its proximity to 'the beach?'

·         Wyman Street in East Arlington for its traditional triple-deckers?
