Home Advantage Team 2015 Year in Review

2015 was very busy for Steve McKenna & Home Advantage Team, despite historically low inventory levels in the Greater Boston area. Steve continues to maintain his position as the #1 REALTOR® in Arlington, with the most homes sold by any other REALTOR® or real estate team in town.

In addition to helping our clients buy and sell homes, we worked to continually educate and inform potential home buyers and sellers with market updates and seminars, in addition to giving back to the community in which we work and live. We also work to educate ourselves and keep up-to-date on the latest accredidations. The sales team recieved their ABR (Accredidated Buyer's Representative) and SRS (Seller Representative Specialist) designations this year as well.

We are already planning for next year and we’re looking forward to a busy and eventful 2016. If the New Year has you wondering about your own real estate needs, just give us a ring and we would be happy to help (781-645-0505). Or, if you are interested in upcoming 2016 events, contact us to be added to our mailing list: info@yourhomeforsale.com.

Here is a quick overview of the activities Steve McKenna & The Home Advantage Team either organized or participated in this year.

Final Arlington Charity Donation Selected for 2015

Steve McKenna & The Home Advantage Team is pleased to announce the final winner of the charity nomination for 2015.

As part of the ‘Move Forward by Giving Back’ campaign we began in early 2015, three Arlington charities – Arlington Fuel Assistance, The Children’s Room, and Arlington Eats – each received $2,500 over the course of the year. We called on the community of Arlington to nominate the fourth and final charity.

We received nearly 80 submissions from the community, and we would like to thank everyone for taking the time to support their causes. It was truly eye-opening to see so many organizations in Arlington, both big and small, well known and not that well known, that contribute to the health and wellness of our community.

We were moved by the heartfelt notes that people sent us about their charities of choice. It was very difficult to select just one, which is why we have selected TWO.

Congratulations to Food Link and Operation Success on being chosen to receive $2,500!

Food Link serves Arlington and surrounding communities by providing good nutritional food such as fresh produce, meat, bread and grocery items to the Arlington Food Pantry and other organizations serving people in need.

Operation Success assists middle school and high school children who reside at Menotomy Manor. The group provides a safe, educational environment, as well as the necessary tools to help students complete school projects and homework assignments.  Organizational and personal skill sets are developed to help children achieve higher successes throughout their life.

In an effort to raise awareness for all of the nominations, please consider these local charities as you make your own donations this holiday season.

Moving Forward by Giving Back (Part III)

As part of our ongoing commitment to the community in which we work and live, it was our pleasure to present $2,500 to Arlington EATS this week.

Arlington EATS is a group of local volunteers who believe that no child in Arlington should be hungry. When school is not in session, family food resources are stretched. Arlington EATS’ mission is to help students Eat All Through Summer and the school year.

This time of year can be especially tough for families and children. We hope this contribution helps Arlington EATS provide the services to fulfill the needs of all Arlington children.

In The News

In case you missed it last week, Steve was busy fielding questions about different real estate topics from Zillow Real Estate and U.S. News & World Report.

In the Zillow article, How Does Your Vehicle Impact Your Business, Steve talks about how his vehicle is an extension of his office. He also chooses a vehicle based on the level of comfort and amenities it provides clients.

U.S. News & World Report Real Estate covers 4 Things You Should Know Before Your First Buyer-Agent Meeting, and Steve discusses the importance of understanding the timing, process and flexibility as buyers begin their search for a home.

If you haven’t seen them, check them out. And just as Steve doesn’t mind giving his two cents, we don’t mind hearing yours.

Give us your feedback and let us know what you think!
