The Home Advantage Team was proud to support the very needed, very important Fridge in Harvard Square for the Holidays. Run and organized by a group of volunteers including Erika Pereira and her mom Denise, this heartfelt and uplifting note about replenishing supplies is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.

Please accept our sincerest thanks for your generous contribution to Fridge in the Square. I was overjoyed when Erika told me about your decision to support the Fridge.
We were actually out of funds. We’ve raised over 15K since last December and utilized every single penny. Your contribution could not have been more gratefully received or more perfectly timed.
I did a Market Basket run this morning and as you can see from the photo; the fridge and pantry have been stocked. Even though everything is getting more expensive, we can still find good bargains and very fresh food.
We installed a microwave this morning (donated by Bill) and placed a supply of microwavable bowls as well as plastic utensils in the pantry. I bought quite a few cans of soup with the self-opening lids, so we’re hoping folks will warm up soup and have it with some crackers and cheese. We’ll see how it goes, our fingers are crossed!
It is not unusual for folks to start lining up as we are unloading, sanitizing and restocking. Today was no exception. The line was forming within minutes of our arrival at the Fridge.
Please know that folks are so thankful…and I and my team are, too.
