Father's Day is just around the corner and there are so many ways to celebrate Dad right in your own backyard of Arlington. Why go anywhere else?

Take a stroll down the Minuteman Bikeway and have lunch. Catch a movie or a show, brush up on your history at any number of historic sights, or find a special gift at a shop in town. There’s no shortage of opportunities to celebrate Dad (or someone who has been like a Dad) in Arlington.

Take a look at just a few ideas below.

Brunch – It’s Not Just for Mother’s Day – There’s nothing better than sitting outside and watching the world go by with a Bloody Mary and some French Toast at Menotomy Bar and Grill.

Catch a Show – Music, concerts, comedy, family fun, The Regent Theater has a little some for everyone and is perfect for an entertaining night out.

Casting Call – Throw out a line and see what’s biting! In addition to kayaking and canoeing, Spy Pond offers ample fishing opportunities. There are 12 species of fish including large mouth bass and yellow perch.

Shave & A Haircut – Get your favorite father all cleaned up at Anthony’s Barber Styling, owned and operated by Anthony for more than 25 years!

Pit Masters – Give Dad a break from the grill and bring him some of the best barbeque around from Blue Ribbon Barbeque.

Nerd Out – Is Dad a history buff? He’ll love taking a tour of the Jason Russell House, the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Revolutionary War on April 19, 1775.
