Fall Community Collection: Food & Clothing Donation Drive

As the leaves begin to change and a crisp breeze sweeps through the air, the season of fall brings with it not only a picturesque New England landscape but also a renewed sense of community and giving. Steve McKenna & The Home Advantage Team is excited to announce our upcoming donation drive in partnership with two phenomenal local nonprofits, Second Chances and Arlington EATS.

From October 2nd to October 16th (excluding October 7th, 8th, 14th & 15), our team will be hosting a Fall Community Collection. Anytime from 9am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday, you can drop off your donations at our office, 1010 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington.

Food Drive in Partnership with Arlington EATS

Non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and cereals are welcomed and are extremely valuable contributions. These items will go a long way in filling the shelves of the Arlington EATS' Market and providing meals for our neighbors. Every donation, no matter how small, adds up to create a significant impact on our community. The need for certain products can change with time as well as seasonally, so check out their website for the donations that would be the most impactful.

Clothing Drive in Partnership with Second Chances

As the temperature begins to drop, warm clothing becomes an absolute necessity. Your contribution of gently used or new coats, sweaters, scarves, gloves, and other winter essentials will make a significant difference. Second Chances is in great need of men's clothing in all types and sizes, women's clothing especially in larger sizes, and footwear in good condition for both men and women. General items that are accepted are:

  • Clothing from any era, in any size, for any age or gender
  • Footwear including shoes, sandals, sneakers, and boots
  • Outerwear including all kinds of coats and jackets
  • Bathing suits, workout clothing, athletic wear
  • Wearable accessories, including belts, hats, scarfs, gloves, and more
  • Purses and bags
  • Costume jewelry
  • Aprons

Whether you choose to contribute non-perishable food items, warm clothing, or both, your generosity will undoubtedly bring a smile to someone's face. Let's all come together to show that a small act of kindness can make a big impact.
