Hispanic Heritage Month began on September 15 and alongside local festivities have begun. Whether celebrating your own culture or partaking in the fun, we rounded up a list of events and restaurants for you and your family.

Fiesta En La Plaza
Together the City of Boston and Cultural Ágora celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Fietz en la Plaza. These events will take place over four weekends starting September 15.
On October 5, from 3-8 p.m., at the Civic Pavilion on City Hall, Latinx films will be shown in collaboration with CineFest Latino Boston. On October 14, from 2-10 p.m., the Closing Fiesta will take place including performances from a youth dance group of the Hyde Square Task Force, Venezuelan harpist Eduardo Betancourt and more. Latinx Community Center for Empowerment
On September 30, the Lowell Hispanic & Latinx Fest will take place from 12-8 p.m., at the North Common Park, 413 Fletcher St., Lowell, MA. The fest will feature live music, dancing, food, and more. Find more information here.
PBS New Programming
PBS Network, produced by local station GBH, has new programs airing all month long alongside digital activations to watch at home. From September 19 through October 3, a new series titled Becoming Frida Kahlo will broadcast. New episodes of kids shows including Rosie's Rules and Alma's Way will also air special Hispanic Heritage Month episodes. Find more information here.
