Arlington EATS Spotlight

Arlington EATS is a local, non-profit whose mission is “to engage the community in eliminating food insecurity and hunger in Arlington.” The Arlington Food Pantry was created in 1992 during the First Iraqi War when individuals in Arlington feared that necessities might be rationed and realized there was an ongoing hunger issue within Arlington. The Food Pantry became a monthly service and in 2014, Arlington EATS was created to serve children who relied on school meals, during the summer.

In 2017 Arlington EATS and the Arlington Food Pantry merged to bring the community together under one goal: to keep Arlington fed. Today, Arlington EATS distributes over 12,000 pounds of food to over 300 households every single week.

Steve McKenna & The Home Advantage Team contribute annual financial donations to Arlington EATS every year and contribute food donations monthly. Some members of our team also donate their time and volunteer with the program!

Last week our entire team spent the afternoon working at Arlington EATS, if you and your family are interested in helping out be sure to check out their website and social media for information:
