Us in Massachusetts are lucky enough to experience all the seasons to their fullest — and one of the most notorious times during the year is the classic New England winter. This time of year brings a sense of charm to the community.
Our team compiled a list of a few of our favorite activities for this winter season!

Newburyport
A charming and lovely town about an hour away from Arlington, Newburyport is a picturesque city nestled along the Atlantic Ocean shore and is home to historic architecture, unique boutiques, art, amazing restaurants, and stunning coastal views. A day trip to Newburyport is the perfect way to spend a winter day!
Kendall Square Community Ice Rink
Travel on over to Cambridge to enjoy an afternoon at this professionally maintained outdoor ice rink! You can rent some skates, get ice skating lessons, or even privately rent the rink.

Nashoba Valley Ski Area
To all ski fans: Head to Westford, MA for an exciting afternoon of skiing. Not only can you get a pass for the season, but you can also get your little ones skiing lessons!

Cozy Cafes
One of our favorite parts of winter is cozying up inside with a hot coffee (a cocoa for Steve) and out of the cold, and Arlington is lucky to have some charming café’s close to our home! Check this link out for some options nearby.

Lookout Rooftop & Bar
One of the most exciting parts of being around Boston is outdoor dining experiences, which one thinks would completely go away after summer ends. Fortunately, there is one special spot where you can dine inside a rooftop igloo in Boston’s Seaport. These heated igloos at Lookout Rooftop & Bar are the perfect way to get cozy while also experiencing amazing views and spectacular food!
