Happy November!
As we begin to bundle up and embrace the holiday season that lies ahead, we're excited to share our team's top picks to make the most of the final days of fall. From supporting local businesses on Small Business Saturday to seeing Wicked on the big screen at the Capitol Theatre, we've created a list of who to see, where to be, and what to do in Arlington–with something in mind for everyone.
Where to Be
#GivingTuesday | Your Voice, Your Impact
As we reflect on the support and trust our community has shown us over the years, we’re reminded of how fortunate we are to be a part of something truly special. That’s why, this #GivingTuesday (December 3rd), we’re giving back with $10,000. We'll be giving $2,000 to five Arlington organizations, and we want YOU to help us choose the recipients! 30th Annual Festival on the Common | Ring in the Holiday Season
Join Mark Garbino at 3:00PM on Saturday, November 30th (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) for Woburn's 30th Annual Festival on the Common. The festival is a traditional, family fun event on the Woburn, MA common. The afternoon is filled with live musical performances, hayrides, ice carving, a visit from Santa, and the lighting of the common!
Who to See
A Wicked Good Time | Catch 'Wicked' in Theaters
Tracy Wallace invites you to see a remake of the world-renowned play, Wicked, featuring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. You can watch the flick at one of Arlington's most beloved theaters, The Capitol Theatre. The best news? You can purchase your tickets now! Click the link below to secure your seat.
Women in Real Estate | Presented by The Boston Globe
Annie Kelly urges you to stop by your local bookstore or news stand to pick up this year's Boston Globe edition of Women in Real Estate. We are honored to announce that the women of Steve McKenna & The Home Advantage Team have the privilege of being featured in this year's issue.
What to Do
Holiday Shopping | Small Business Saturday
Kristen McKenna encourages you to get all of your holiday shopping done early (let's cut down on your to do list) while supporting local businesses. On Saturday, November 30, stop by Helena's, one of our team's favorite boutiques in town. From cute stocking stuffers to the perfect holiday sweater, you're sure to find something. You'll also be able to stop by and see the new mural!
Donate Your Time | Arlington EATS
Mike Pallotta understands that you give what you can with what you have–and sometimes what you have to give is your time. This holiday season, Mike encourages you to volunteer at one of his most loved local nonprofits, Arlington EATS. Arlington EATS’ mission is to engage the community in eliminating food insecurity and hunger in Arlington. Volunteers are the backbone of Arlington EATS–each week over 120 volunteer shifts are needed to run EATS programming.
We hope these suggestions inspire you to explore and enjoy all that Arlington and beyond has to offer. If you have any questions or need personalized recommendations, our team is always here to help.
Wishing you a fantastic November,
Steve McKenna &
The Home Advantage Team
