The Town of Arlington has real estate exemptions (tax relief) for seniors and other relief programs. Applications are accepted after July 1 for the upcoming fiscal year. The deadline to apply is April 1, for most exemptions. Seniors Means Tested deadline has already passed for the upcoming fiscal year, but you can get ready now to apply for the following year.

Here’s some general information regarding the Real Estate Tax Exemption Relief:

Available for a variety of qualifying taxpayers including; seniors, blind persons, disabled veterans, surviving spouses or orphaned minor children, and financial hardship.

To qualify for the Arlington Means Test Senior Exemption, applicants must meet a variety of requirements including; age, income, ownership residency, and assessed value requirements. The value of all assets owned will be considered when determining eligibility.
