Final Arlington Charity Donation Selected for 2015

Steve McKenna & The Home Advantage Team is pleased to announce the final winner of the charity nomination for 2015.

As part of the ‘Move Forward by Giving Back’ campaign we began in early 2015, three Arlington charities – Arlington Fuel Assistance, The Children’s Room, and Arlington Eats – each received $2,500 over the course of the year. We called on the community of Arlington to nominate the fourth and final charity.

We received nearly 80 submissions from the community, and we would like to thank everyone for taking the time to support their causes. It was truly eye-opening to see so many organizations in Arlington, both big and small, well known and not that well known, that contribute to the health and wellness of our community.

We were moved by the heartfelt notes that people sent us about their charities of choice. It was very difficult to select just one, which is why we have selected TWO.

Congratulations to Food Link and Operation Success on being chosen to receive $2,500!

Food Link serves Arlington and surrounding communities by providing good nutritional food such as fresh produce, meat, bread and grocery items to the Arlington Food Pantry and other organizations serving people in need.

Operation Success assists middle school and high school children who reside at Menotomy Manor. The group provides a safe, educational environment, as well as the necessary tools to help students complete school projects and homework assignments.  Organizational and personal skill sets are developed to help children achieve higher successes throughout their life.

In an effort to raise awareness for all of the nominations, please consider these local charities as you make your own donations this holiday season.

    Santa Paws a Success!

We had a great time at Santa Paws 2018 at the Thorndike Field Dog Park and we hope you did too! The event raised almost $700 for the continuing maintenance of the park. We captured some of these adorable pooches and their people, as well as some of the funnier outtakes. For the full album jump over to our Facebook page. See you next year, at the dog park!
